Raspberry Earl Grey from Zhena's Gypsy Tea

I admit it. I'm a Tea Nerd...a Tea Freak...I'm obsessed. Not only do I have this blog but I also log 99 percent of my tea experiences on Steepster.com - a great community for tea lovers.

I haven't had this tea in a while but I remember LOVING it. I was going back thru some of my notes on steepster and found the following comments...

Medium Black Colored Tea. Next to no scent once steeped. Average Black Tea taste with nifty raspberry and orange undertones. I still enjoy and like this tea for what it is...pleasant and not pushy.

And below you will see the company's description of this lil gem...

The floral aroma of juicy raspberries is perhaps the perfect complement to the sweet citrus and full-bodied flavor of Earl Grey. This more exceptional version of this classic tea is artisan hand-crafted in small batches and infused with only top-grade essential oils of real fruit to brew a sweet, succulent cup.

Ingredients: Ceylon & Indian Black tea, with Italian Bergamot, Freeze-Dried Raspberries & organic Raspberry flavor.

Sounds nice. Does it taste really similar to a regular Earl Grey?

I was never sure if Gypsy tea was good or not... I think mainly b/c it was always at Wegmans and I didn't trust them haha

I think raspberry and orange sounds like a combination I could live with for flavoring. If it were too many fruits I think the flavors would crowd each other out. But adding raspberry to an Earl Gray-type tea sounds sensible enough.
